★ Lacy Harvest Motif ★

An example of the pattern below.

This is a small repeating motif I've been using in a hair ribbon that I'm making for myself. I'm using size 10 crochet thread and a 1.9mm hook for a nice loose feel.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE WRONG AS HELL BY THEWAY!!!!

  1. Tie a slip knot, ch 16. Turn.
  2. Sk 2 st, hdc 14, ch 3 and turn. (15hdc)
  3. Work 2dc into same st. Sk 2 st, sc in next hdc, sk 3 st, 7dc in next hdc, sk 3 st, sc in next hdc, sk 2 st, 3dc in last hdc. Turn. (13dc, 2sc)
  4. Sc in same st, ch3, dc in next sc, ch3, sk 3dc, sc in next dc, ch3, dc in next sc, ch3, sc in last dc. Ch1 and turn. (2dc, 3sc, 4 ch3 spaces)
  5. Work 4hdc in each ch sp. Ch 3 and turn.
  6. Dc in next st, sk next 2 st, puff st in sp between next hdc and the one after [should be right over the dc from row 3], ch2, puff st in same sp, ch1, sk 3 st, dc 2, ch1, sk 2 st, puff st in sp after next hdc, ch2, puff st in same sp, sk 3 st, dc 2, ch3 and turn. Repeat to desired length. (6dc, 2 ch2 sp, 2 ch1 sp, 4 puff st)
  7. Dc in next dc, ch2, puff st in next chain space, ch2, dc 2, ch2, puff st in next chain space, ch2, dc 2, chain 3 and turn. (6dc, 2 puff st, 4 ch2 sp)
  8. 2dc in next dc, ch3, 2dc in next 2dc, ch3, 2dc in next dc, dc in next dc, ch3, turn. (10dc, 2 ch3 sp)
  9. Dc 2, ch2, dc 2, ch2, dc 2, ch2, dc 3, ch3 and turn. (10dc, 3 ch2 sp)
  10. Dc 5 in next chain space, dc in next chain space, 2 puff st in same sp, dc in same sp, dc 5 in next chain space, dc in last dc, ch2, turn. (14dc, 2 puff st)
  11. 15 hdc, tie off and weave in ends. (16hdc)

I hope you enjoyed this short pattern! I like to incorporate it into a much longer design. Feel free to shorten or lengthen the pattern however you want for your project. Personally I am doing another shell pattern instead of the last row of hdc and then starting a pineapple motif, then a basket weave type thing, then repeating. It's really fun.
